Let us start the new year out on the right foot. The reason why that does not happen for most is because they ‘go figure’ it out for themselves. But “go figure,” the best way to start is with a clear mind empowered by God’s word to maximize 2025. Read on to see how!
The Power of God’s Word
How to have a clear mind is in the word of God and the power thereof. God’s word says,
Hebrews 4:12 AMP
For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged [a]sword, penetrating as far as the division of the [b]soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.
So what I want you to know, is this. In God’s word, there is life, and in God’s word, there is power.
The following is the unadulterated word of God about having a clear mind:
Start With This
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
And Remember….
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,
He (John the Baptist) saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Do Not Forget The Enemy
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
Focus on God
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. …
(Jesus says) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Keep Your Mind Focused
We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,
“For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.

Challenge of the Week, and For The Year
Let it be the word of God that sets you free. Do Not fool yourself into thinking you can figure it out, other than figuring out that it is God’s word that brings life and the power to set you free. So the challenge, be in God’s word…let it bring life, healing, and clarity to 2025 for you, so be it!
