Today, we pause. Not to celebrate a long weekend, but to honor the lives of those who gave everything so that we can live in freedom. Today, we are remembering the cost of freedom.

Memorial Day reminds us that freedom is never free. It’s paid for with courage, sacrifice, and love—values that echo the heart of Jesus Himself:
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
As we enjoy the peace and opportunities we have today, may we remember the families who carry the weight of sacrifice daily. And may we ask ourselves:
Are we living lives worthy of the freedom we’ve been given?
We so often take our freedom(s) for granted. The sacrifices that others made are either faded memories or not remembered at all. May this not be the case as you read this, and as you celebrate Memorial Day. Let this not be the case for the freedom Jesus Christ bought for us through His death and resurrection. Let us not forget!
Challenge of the Day…and Week
Let today be more than a moment of reflection.
Let it be a call to gratitude, to honor, and to live purposefully. So be it.
From Your Everyday Life, we remember. We give thanks.
