Over the past year, I’ve been writing something a little different. And not just blog posts or reflections, but a story. A story I didn’t fully set out to write at first. A story that, in many ways, has been writing me. And the following is why I’m sharing this story now – When Love Found Me.
1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.

This will be a new journey over the next several months. I’ve been calling it:
When Love Found Me
It started as a collection of moments, experiences, realizations, and places where life didn’t go as planned. But something deeper was happening underneath. And at the time those things were happening, I didn’t even realize or recognize God at work.
Places where life didn’t go as planned… but something deeper was happening underneath.
What I’ve come to see is that this isn’t just a story about events. It’s a story about formation.
About how God meets us in places we didn’t expect. About how love doesn’t just comfort us, it reshapes us. And about how who we are becoming matters more than what we are building.
And if I’m honest…
it’s a story I’m still living.
Why I’m Sharing This Now
Lately, my writing here has been centered around:
- Living instead of just surviving
- Stepping out and facing what’s going on underneath
- Learning to rest – an unhurried life
- Hearing God’s voice – and really listening for it
- Letting Him form me in real time and not just aimlessly drifting
And as I’ve reflected on that, I realized something:
This story, When Love Found Me, is where so much of that began. So instead of keeping it separate, I want to bring you into it. I want to bring you into the story…into your story. So come with me now.
Ephesians 5:15–16
Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity…
What This Will Look Like
Starting next week, I’m going to begin sharing this journey with you. Each week, I’ll take a chapter, or part of a chapter, and do more than post it.
I’ll:
- Share the story
- Reflect on what it means now
- Highlight what God was doing underneath it
And invite you to consider what it might look like in your own life, your journey, your story.
This won’t be a book release. It will be a walk together.
Philippians 1:6
He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion…
Why This Is Important To Me
Because I don’t think this is just my story. I think it’s a reminder of something we all need:
That love doesn’t always find us when life is clean and clear. Sometimes it finds us in confusion, tension, and places we didn’t plan to be. And when it does, it doesn’t just comfort us. It changes us.
Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him…

A Simple Invitation
If you’ve been reading along lately…
if anything has resonated…
And if you’ve found yourself asking deeper questions about your own life, I think this next season of posts will meet you right where you are. So starting next week…We begin. So be it.
Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
