Today let’s look at 50 ways to make the most of every moment. Let’s take a look at some encouraging words at this moment. Therefore, I hope you dance in making the most of every moment.
I can’t dance well at all. And so the point isn’t about dancing. But it’s more about not missing the opportunity. Don’t miss the moment. Make the most of every moment.
My wife’s father (Ted), my father-in-law, just passed away. As I am writing this my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and wife are in the other room going through all the pictures they have. My brother-in-law’s wife and I have made ourselves scarce by disappearing to other rooms.
It does my heart good, and I am sure it does theirs too, to hear them sharing. Every picture they pick up brings back great and fun memories regarding their dad. I think they are ‘dancing with their dad’ (making the most of the moment) in their memories as they share together!
I would ask you to make the most of every moment with your loved ones. Matter of fact watch this video with Lea Ann Womack and make the most of every moment you can. As you do, I hope you dance.
So I’m not going to share all 50 ways in a list right here. But here are a few suggestions of the 50 in how to dance as you make the most of moments in your life:
- #10 Be in the moment.
- Not every moment is to be captured. Believe it or not your brain will filter out insignificant moments – I can relate. In other words when a moment presents itself, be present, be in the moment.
- #20 Realize every moment isn’t about you.
- Realize that when the opportunity is there to make a moment about someone else, it actually turns it into a moment for you by making it about a moment for them. Right?
- #30 Capture the moment.
- When a moment stands out, capture it. Write it down. Take a picture of it. Share it with someone.
- #40 Celebrate the moment.
- Significant moments deserve to be celebrated. It could be your moment to celebrate. Or it could be you celebrating someone else’s moment. But take a moment to celebrate the moment.
- #50 Be thankful for the moment.
- This one is probably the most important one. It could be an amazing moment, but it may even be a moment that brought you pain and something you had to endure. But you must focus on being thankful, thankful from what will come from it.
- Otherwise, the moment will cause you to dwell on it. This will keep you stuck in the past and keep you from moving forward. This means saying thank you, either to Jesus or to a friend. But don’t wait, say thank you now.
Colossians 3:16-17 MSG
…cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way.
Cherish every moment of your life. It’s the greatest journey you will ever take. I hope you dance – make the most of every moment.
Challenge of the day: It is this very moment for which you were created…and the next moment, and the next – make the most of each one. So be it.

Thank you Mary Anne. Going through this time of grieving with Carmen and her family is a strong reminder. Thanks for the comment!

Hi Scott! Thanks for this message. We all miss so many moments! God is so big and so good and gives each of us so much. This, I think, is why we love going to the beach and just looking up in awe.
Safe travels back!

We do miss it at times. The beach (like you) is one of our favorite places to take a quiet walk with Jesus or just hang (literally) in our hammocks with Him at Honeymoon Island. Thanks for your prayers and words for safe travels.
