Good God Almighty

It is Friday! Good God Almighty!

If your childhood was similar to mine, even if you were around others that had a similar background to mine, you have heard the phrase, “Good God Almighty!” And it was not in a good way. While growing up I actually thought the phrase was a cuss (curse) word.

Good God Almighty. Take time to praise him morning, noon and night, for His mercy and goodness is great.

We really do have a good God Almighty! So as I reflect on my lostness, and then my waywardness, my struggles, and the chains of my past life, I am so very thankful that my God is a good and merciful God!

Perceptions are Not Reality

Maybe you can relate. People from your past, and probably even now, have perceptions of who you are. What happens is, what people don’t know about you, they fill in the blanks (most of the time) with misperceptions. They make up their own story of who you are and why you are where you are. So…

Here’s what we all should know. At one time everyone was lost, but now we are found. But it’s not about where we should be (we have all fallen short), but where we’ve come from. And LOOK, this is how far we’ve come from where we used to be. Good God Almighty!

Psalm 145:9 niv

The Lord is good to all;
    he has compassion on all he has made.

Let today’s post be a time of reflection of thankfulness and praise from what He has brought us through. Check this out by Crowder, then spend a few moments with Jesus reflecting.

This is what it is about – getting past the past. Turning our eyes upon Jesus. To realize that we are not missing out by not being more of a part of the world. But we are missing out by not being closer to Jesus. It is that every-day-walkin’-around-kind-of-life with Jesus where we begin to realize what all we’ve missed out on by not being in a daily walk with Him!

Psalm 34:8 niv

Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see — how good God is.
Blessed are you who run to Him.

Challenge of the day: Reflect on how good God is. He really is good. He is good God Almighty! Love on Jesus a little extra today. Thank Him for what He has brought you through, and what He has brought you to, and what He has in store for you. Good God Almighty! So be it.
