Good morning. I am glad you are here and reading this today. And so I am sure the Lord has drawn you here for high purposes. And though I don’t understand how Jesus uses my writing because I am so simple minded, let’s see what Words of Encouragement He has for you this morning by keeping it simple. Keeping it simple, is that a strength?
I am known for my dad jokes. And they are so bad that I crack myself up, while everyone else groans. And speaking of simple, I am really so simple minded. It’s because I have a small brain. Matter of fact, my brain is so small that if you took it out and put it on the edge of a razor blade it would look like a BB rolling down a 4-lane highway. š¤£

Jesus Simply Wants to Hang With Us – Keeping it Simple
To keep something simple is to make something easy to understand. For example, our God is so deep, yet still so simple. He simply wants to have a relationship with us. That’s why He created us. It’s that simple.
It’s as simple as acknowledging Jesus and hanging with Him in our every-day-walking-around-kind-of-life. So it doesn’t get any simpler than that. He just wants to hang with us.
Simple has Great Strengths and Characteristics
Someone who keeps it simple is someone who is thoughtful, honest, genuine, good at communicating, generous, kind, giving, polite, positive, grateful and more. People with a strength of keeping it simple don’t overcomplicate things.
The Gospel is Simple
Romans 3:23 NKJV
āAll have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. There is none righteous, no not oneā
Romans 6:23 NKJV
āThe wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lordā
- All of our shortcomings and all the sins of mankind were placed upon Jesus Christ who was without sin.
- Jesus Christ, the Son of God was crucified/sacrificed for our sins.
- He was buried and our sins were buried with Him and were cast as far as the east is from the west.
- Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day (Easter) and all who believe and receive Him as Lord rise to new life with Him.
- New life in Jesus Christ is received through faith in His death, burial and resurrection when a person repents of their sin and asks Jesus Christ to forgive their sin and make them pure, without the stain of sin.
1 John 3:23
“This is [God’s] command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another.”
This verse is a gospel message with just two points: believe in Christ, and love others.
Challenge of the Day: Keep it simple. Do NOT overcomplicate your relationship with Jesus. Simply keep your eyes upon Jesus throughout your everyday life with Him. So be it!
