Merry Christmas to you. Let’s look at two key verses about the good news of Christmas!
Luke 2:9-10 niv
9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.
Merry Christmas to You
Bring on the celebration of the life of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For His life, His existence, and His (ever) presence in our lives. He is worth celebrating like no other! What a glorious day for the whole world! What a glorious day for you. And what a glorious day for me! Let us be encouraged.
Luke 2:4-7, 15-20 niv
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
Jesus, We Bless You – Merry Christmas
Thank You for being the King of Glory. Thank You for being our Redeemer, Shepherd, and King. And thank You for reconciling us as our Savior, Jesus. So thank You for loving us and watching over us. Lord, let all that we are and all that we have praise You. We will praise You as long as we live. We will sing Your praises with every breath. Our hope is in You, the Lord, our God. You created heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. You keep every promise forever. We stand amazed at how awesome You are!
You Are So Magnificent Today
We revere and honor You on this day, Your earthly birthday. You are our God and we submit our loyalty and adoration to You. You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. And you existed before time and created everything that exists. Lord, only You have held the ocean in Your hand. You measured off the heavens with Your fingers and You know how much the earth weighs!
You Lord Are Truly Amazing
Father, all nations of the world are but a drop in the bucket to You. They are nothing more than a grain of sand on the ocean shores. You pick up the whole earth as though it were just a grain of sand!
You spread out the heavens like a curtain and make Your tent from them. When we look up at the sky, we know that You created every star that we see. You bring them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of Your great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing.
Lord, You Are the Everlasting God
You are the Creator of all the earth. You never grow weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of Your understanding. You are good to everyone and shower compassion on all of Your creation.
Mighty King
You are our banner and shield, our strength and protection. Lord Jesus, You are our Savior, our Redeemer and through You we are justified. We revere and honor You. Today, we celebrate Your birth. So be it!
