See the Evidence

You can’t miss it. Look around you. It is everywhere. See the evidence. See the evidence of God. Thank you Lord for walking beside me in my everyday-walking-around-kind-of-life. My strength, my courage, my peace, all comes from having you walk with me every step of the way. I see the evidence of you, and all that you are, all over my life.

I like how evidence is used here:

Hebrews 11:1 KJV

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

So If I read this right, faith has substance. In other words, faith is real because substance has a tangible, solid presence. But the part I want to get to is that FAITH (God’s Word) is the EVIDENCE of things not seen.

What is faith? In a nutshell, faith and God’s word are equivalent. Faith comes from hearing the word of God (Rom. 10:17 KJV). It’s God’s word that was spoken, and then it (the world) existed (Heb. 11:3).

The Evidence is Real

Let God’s Word be your evidence. The evidence of who you are. What you want to be. What He has for you. His promises for you. Everything you are and everything you want and were designed by Him to be. The evidence, the truth, the substance is in His word. The evidence is what He has done all through your life. And the evidence is all through my life.

It was so amazing for Carmen and I (and all those who are a part of the faith-based franchise system that I work with) to worship together with Josh. Josh’s walk with God is evident, and he is humble and down to earth even as gifted as he is. What an experience for us.

Challenge of the Week

God wants to have a personal relationship with you, and this will step on some toes – even if you are a Christian. I was one of those, so I am stepping on my own toes here. I was jaded for many years. But the evidence of God and His love is undeniable. So the challenge is to look all around you this week and identify all the evidence of His goodness. So be it!
