Your Everyday Life Podcast featuring Scott & Carmen

This is a flashback to a few years ago. We (Scott and Carmen) want to share a reminder for all of us to be thankful. Thanksgiving is a great reminder that we should be thankful in all the seasons of life. Thanksgiving – Being Thankful Always.

Thanksgiving - Being Thankful Always
Thankful – Yes I am!

We have so much to be thankful for in our lives. We have been greatly blessed. I, Scott, have so much more to learn about walking closer with Jesus. But I hope you can see God reflected through our lives.

We have been through some valleys, and some callous times throughout life. But without those times, we would not be as strong as we are now – see The Strength of a Tree blog. As I think about those hard times, do I want to go back and relive them? Do I want to do them all over again? And am I longing for them to happen again? Never!

Am I thankful for those times and how they made me stronger? Did those times prepare me for what I would face later? Indeed! I am thankful that I can use those experiences and be stronger for myself and others when faced with tough situations in the future.

Those times have produced great growth in me as a leader. It has taught me that life is not about results and outcomes but about those around me. It is the evidence of God’s goodness.

Here are a few words, a few memories, and a challenge to being thankful…

Challenge of the Week

I hope you enjoy our words about Thanksgiving today. The challenge is for you to tell someone this week how thankful you are for them. Do that with family and friends as you sit at the Thanksgiving table this week. So be it.
